Sealmaster intumescent Closed Cell Foam Tape is a medium pressure intumescent glazing tape offering a cost-effective solution for fire glazing applications. Suitable for both fire doors and screens.
This strong, flexible and compressible intumescent fire tape has been developed to provide excellent high temperature sealing properties. Comprising of an expandable graphite thermoplastic strip laminated to a polyethylene closed cell foam tape. Sealmaster intumescent foam glazing tape has been chemically formulated to deliver excellent thermal stability and comprises the benefits of a volume expansion of 8 times its original volume, beginning at 180°C, medium pressure intumescence and a very high thermal erosion resistance to beyond 900°C.
The unique thermal behaviour of this product allows it to be used across a very broad range of fire resistant glazings for integrity, semi-insulating and insulation fire glazing applications. It has been developed to achieve successful fire performance to BS and EN Standards for both doors and screens and is aimed particularly at 30 minute and 60 minute applications. Certifire Approved CF 5645.
This black glazing tape is available on a spool to minimize glazing installation wastage. Sealmaster Intumescent Closed Cell Foam Tape is supplied on 100 and 200 metre length spools and has standard widths of 10mm and 15mm. It is 3mm thick but can be compressed down to 2.5mm if required.
Supplied with an adhesive backing for quick and easy application. The material can be cut very easily with scissors or a sharp knife and so is very easy to fit to glazing beads and other precision-dependant applications.
