Sealmaster Low Pressure Intumescent Fire Strip is a dry intumescent material that can be used as an alternative to wet intumescent compounds. This Sealmaster door and window seal offers fire protection only and is an ideal solution for glazing applications where a low pressure forming intumescent effect may be required, such as ironmongery protection or particular fire door edge seal applications.
Sealmaster low pressure strip technology is also employed for other applications. For example, the Sealmaster Low Pressure Strip can be used alongside Sealmaster Fireglaze Compound to create a 30 minute Fireglaze G30 Glazing Seal. FireGlaze G30 has independent fire test and Third Party certification evidence for a wide range of fire resisting glasses, timbers and opening sizes. Like the FireGlaze Compound, FireGlaze G30 is installed between the fire resisting glass and the timber beads which are fixed with appropriate steel pins.
The Sealmaster low pressure intumescent fire strip has been fire tested and achieved 30 minute fire rating. It also achieved a Certifire certification tested conforming to CF221.
Available in a 2mm thick strip as standard, this low pressure fire strip is made of ammonium phosphate based intumescent strip known as the LP seal. Supplied with a full width self-adhesive tape applied to one side for quick and easy installation. This natural white coloured product is available in 2100mm length in a range of sizes.
