The Lorient SS seal provides effective protection against fire and smoke with the added benefit of thermal containment. The SS intumescent strip also includes integral antimicrobial protection. Suitable for use in both single and double leaf doors, for gaps between 3mm and 4mm.
The lorient SS fire & smoke intumescent strip is a PVC-u encased sodium silicate material, with a black polypropylene brush pile insert which has outstanding reliability and durability. When exposed to fire, the intumescent material expands and seals the gap between the door and the frame, stopping the passage of smoke and fire. The seal remains stable at temperatures in the region of 1000C and has been durability tested to 100,000 opening and closing cycles.
The SS fire and smoke intumescent strip has been acoustically tested to BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010. The fire strip meets smoke requirements to BS 9999: 2017 and has been smoke tested to BS 476-31.1: 1983. Fire tested to BS EN 1634-1: 2008 and BS 476-22: 1987. The Lorient SS has also the following certification: Certifire CF330 and CF341, BBA 92/2841 and IFC FRPP454.
Available in a standard length of 2100mm and a range of sizes to cover both 30 and 60 minute applications. Quick and easy to fit into the rebate with a self-sdhesive tape supplied.
