The Thermoguard Thermoproof is a water-based, clear, colourless fire protection fluid ideal for interior wood applications. When exposed to fire, this Thermoproof fluid reacts with the wood cells and creates a fire resistant barrier.
Apply the fluid to dry wood with a brush, roller or spray. One coat of this fire protection paint for wood is enough to provide an effective fire barrier.
The Thermoguard Thermoproof complies with UKAS Fire Test Standards to BS EN Class B s2 dO, Class O. However, this product doesn’t achieve 30 or 60 minute resistance. For the fire resistance, use Thermoguard 2K Fire Varnish Basecoat & Thermoguard Fire Varnish Overcoat.
