The Pyroplex fire & smoke intumescent strip provides integrity, insulation and 30 to 60 minute fire resistance. Suitable for application in fire resisting timber doorsets. The Pyroplex fire strip can be rebated in single and double action, single or double doors, for latched and unlatched doors. Ideal for new build and retro-fit applications.
The Pyroplex is a PVC-u holder with a graphite-based intumescent material. This type of material provides excellent fire protection when exposed to fire, as the intumescent material foams and swells to close the gaps between the door and the frame which results in a stop to the fire from spreading. The fire strip also has a brush pile that offers additional smoke protection.
Fire and smoke tested to BS 476: Part 22, BS EN 1634-3 and BS EN ISO 10140-2. Pyroplex fire & smoke intumescent strip has also been approved by Certifire CF355.
This fire intumescent strip doesn’t require any additional tools for application and is quick and easy to rebate and fit with the self-adhesive tape supplied. Available in three standard colours and 2100mm length.
