The Pyroplex intumescent strip with a central single flipper provides a fire, smoke and acoustic resistance, specifically designed for use in rebates in timber door leaves or door frame and on acoustic doorsets.
The Single Flipper fire & smoke intumescent strip can be installed in both new build and retro-fit applications, on single and double action leaf doors, latched and unlatched doors. Easy to wipe clean, this Pyroplex fire strip is a perfect solution for use in clean rooms, hospitals, computer rooms and food preparation areas. Increased tamper resistance makes the seal ideal for use in educational establishements. The fire strip is very durable and the flipper is not easy to tear from the rigid box profile.
Pyroplex is made of intumescent material enclosed in a rigid box with flippers that are thermally fused to the box to ensure that they will not delaminate under normal conditions of use. The ‘Integral Flipper’ provides added security that will remain uninterrupted when used with ironmongery. The profile is not affected by weather and offers improved aesthetics. Clean simple lines of the blade create a design feature in the doorset, giving a visual appeal that is superior to standard brush seals.
Pyroplex acoustic, fire & smoke intumescent strip is Certifire-approved with Certificate No. CF355, compliant to TS35/TS21. It has been successfully tested to BS 476: Part 22 and 31.1, BS EN 1634-3: 2004 and BS EN ISO 10140-2: 2010. The Pyroplex seal has achieved 30 and 60 minute fire resistance, depending on the size of the seal.
Quick and easy to fit into the rebate with a self-adhesive tape, with no special tools required. The Pyroplex fire strip is available in either a white, brown or black colour and in a standard 2100mm length.
