Mann Mcgowan Interdens Pyrostrip intumescent glazing strip is suitable for interior use and can be used as a fire seal in many situations including, timber fire resisting doors, partitions, glazing, ironmongery and hardware protection.
Interdens is a flexible intumescent material based on Phosphate with either a glass fibre reinforced or thermoplastic matrix. When exposed to fire, the intumescent strip expands in two phases, the first at 150‚ÑÉ, the second 300‚ÑÉ. The material produces large volumetric expansion to fill gaps and provides an insulating mass.
Interdens has undergone fire tests in many parts of the world to comply with local requirements. This fire resisting glazing strip has been fire tested to BS 476 Part 22 and BS EN 1634. It has also been subjected to ageing tests as part of an ongoing programme developed in the UK by IFSA and in Germany.
The interdens is manufactured in multiple formats and is available in a standard 1000mm length strip, 2.0mm thick and white in colour. The glazing strip is fitted with a self-adhesive tape for quick and easy application. Interdens can be manufactured as a sheet on request.
