Mann Mcgowan Pyroglaze 30 ia a dry glazing strip system that offers 30 minute fire protection. Intended as a glazing seal for fire resisting screens, partitions, and fire rated doors.
This semi-rigid PVC-u encapsulated strip of intumescent material has great expansion properties. In the event of fire, the intumescent swells to form a seal within the glazing pocket and also reduces the risk of premature ignition of the glazing beads on the protected face.
This intumescent glazing strip is supplied with a self-adhesive tape for a quick, easy and clean installation between a fire resisting glass and untreated timber glazing beads. It can be used on a maximum glass size of 2,000mm x 1,700mm (G.W.P.P.). Glazing beads should be secured using 38mm long steel pins and splayed to pass under the glass at 150-200mm centres. The timber density should be 650kg/m3. Suitable for any shape of aperture as well as larger glazed panels. It can be used with either softwood or hardwood systems.
The Pyroglaze 30 fire resistant glazing strip has been fire tested in accordance with BS 476 Part 22. Tested in conjunction with a wide variety of glasses to include both integrity (E) and integrity/insulation (EI) glass types. Successfully assessed by numerous UK and international testing centres.
Manufactured as a 10x3mm glazing strip in a standard 2100mm length, the Pyroglaze 30 is available in either a white, brown, black or cream colour. Non-standard colours and lengths up to 3000mm are available on request. Please call or email Firewise at +44 (0) 1223 839 727 or [email protected].
