Mann McGowan DD1-420S is a high quality rebated auto drop seal which offers a fire, acoustic, cold smoke and weather sealing solution. This automatic drop down seal consists of aluminium casing and a self-extinguishing silicone insert providing coverage for threshold gaps up to 13mm. DD1-420S has been successfully tested for 200,000 opening and closing cycles.
This auto drop seal has been acoustically tested in accordance with BS-EN 10140-1 and BS-EN 10140-2, to achieve an acoustic rating of up to 34dB. Smoke sealing performance has been tested to BS EN 1634-3 and fire tested to BS 476 pt. 22 1987 providing 30 minutes protection.
Mann McGowan DD1-420S auto drop seal is easy to install with a simple click to fit installation method to create a door bottom seal. The inner mechanism slides out and the outer casing can then be fitted into the rebate with the supplied screws and finally the inner mechanism can be slid back and clicked into place. This fitting mechanism allows you to be able to remove the seal without removing the door. The drop seal can be easily adjusted using a slot head screwdriver. Optional end plates and cover plates can be specified if required. Full fixing instructions is supplied with the product.
