Thermoguard Timbercoat Intumescent 30/60 Basecoat forms part of a coloured fire resistant paint system, providing 30 or 60 minute fire resistance. It is suitable for use on interior wood, ply, MDF and wood derivative boards.
This water-based intumescent paint for wood offers permanent protection and gives the wood a smooth aesthetically pleasing, durable finish.
Thermoguard Timbercoat Intumescent Basecoat is a part 1 of a 30 or 60 minute fire resistance system, protecting the wood from burning. In the event of a fire, this intumescent paint expands, forming a heat-resistant char that insulates the surface of the wood.
Fire tested to UKAS and EOTA standards, this intumescent paint for wood achieved EN Class B s1 d0 certificate. Compliant for class 0 plus full smoke protection.
Suitable for application with a roller, brush or spray. In normal conditions, touch dry in one hour and can be overpainted with Safewood SFR or Timbercoat SFR after 4 hours.
