Sealmaster Thunder TNS is an internal door threshold plate that can be used to provide acoustic and weather sealing to the door threshold.
Ideal for inward opening doors, the TNS door threshold plate should be surface mounted on single timber batten (not supplied) which is fixed to the existing sill; both fitted tightly between the stops. The batten should be sized to bring the top of the threshold plate to approximately 2mm above the top of the water bar and have grooves cut into the underside to allow drainage. For pairs of inward opening doors, the threshold plate and batten should be fitted in a continuous length.
The TNS threshold plate is a perfect solution for internal doors, where a smaller threshold plate is required. It should be used in combination with the WHS weatherboard to create an effective threshold system. The weatherboard should be fixed to the face of the door and adjusted to make light contact with the threshold plate. The threshold and weatherboard sections should be bedded in silicone sealant.
The TNS is also suitable for a smooth face application for outward opening doors. Either the WGS or the WHS weatherboard can be reversed and rebated into the door, paired with a TN threshold plate to create a smooth faced threshold seal.
This combination seal is available in a silver finish and in three standard lengths of 1000mm, 2100mm and 3000mm.
