The Sealmaster Fireface Plus Panel is used in combination with the Sealmaster Fireface Adhesive and the Sealmaster Fireface Adhesive Accelerator to apply the panel to the door in question. All three components provide an ideal fire door upgrade kit, which can be used to upgrade a fireproof door and deliver 30 minute fire door protection.
Sealmaster Fireface as a system, is a thin membrane which is adhered to both sides of thinner or jointed timber door panels and to timber wall panelling. It can be easily applied without damaging the fabric of the door and is fixed beneath or between beads and mouldings. During a fire the intumescent compound swells and chars, insulating the surface of the timber beneath and retarding the effect of heat on the door’s integrity. Between the intumescent layer and the timberwork, a specialised woven layer ensures that even if the panel fissures under intense heat, the risk of ‘flaming’ is avoided.
The Sealmaster Fireface system can also be stained or veneered to suit the original door finish and can later be removed if neccessary, without damaging the fabric of the timberwork.
If there are any small gaps between the joints during application, these can be sealed with the Sealmaster Masterseal, a gun-applied intumescent compound which can be sanded and decorated.
Available in a birch veneer plywood and supplied as 1220mm x 1220mm as standard with a depth of 1.89mm. The Fireface Plus Panel’s can also be cut to your required panel size and is supplied to the nearest 50mm.
