Mann Mcgowan Pyrostrip 500PSS is a high performance intumescent strip offering fire and smoke protection. Suitable for a wide variety of applications, including door edges, glazing in steel and timber partitions, pipe closure devices, air transfer grilles, aviation bulkheads and linear gaps.
This graphite based intumescent strip is designed in a PVC-u holder with a brush pile that can seal gaps up to 10mm. It can easily be rebated into the groove with the self-adhesive tape supplied.
When exposed to fire, the intumescent material swells and closes the gaps between the door and frame, cuts the air supply and stops the passage of smoke and fire. Because of its chemical composition, this intumescent fire strip also has a very high melting point.
The fire strip has proven performance in numerous internationally recognised tests including SGS, GGF, IFSA, CERTIFIRE, FDIS, BWF, GAI.
The Pyrostrip 500PSS fire & smoke intumescent strip is available in three standard sizes, in either a white or brown finish and a standard length of 2100mm.
