Mann Mcgowan Pyrostrip 100EC is a palusol based concealed smoke and fire intumescent strip offering fire resistance without conflicting with the overall door design or finish.
Extensively tested for both 30 and 60 minute fire protection to both BS476 parts 8 and 22, NEN 6069. This palusol intumescent strip provides fire-stopping between door frame and structural opening and can be used to line vision panel apertures in FD30 and FD60 applications. It is also suitable for use in conjunction with exposed encapsulated strips on FD60 doors.
The fire intumescent strip is hidden behind timber lippings or glazing beads. The lipping should be grooved slightly bigger than the seal to allow for shrinkage of the timber.
In the event of fire, the intumescent strip expands and seals the gap, preventing the passage of flames, smoke and hot gases.
Pyrostrip 100EC fire strip is a 2mm thick white palusol intumescent material available in a range of sizes to suit either FD30 or FD60 performance. Supplied with or without self-adhesive backing for easy installation.
