Mann McGowan DD1-1750 is a high quality surface mounted drop seal that provides fire, acoustic, smoke and weather protection. When the door closes the seal automatically drops and closes the gap between the floor and the door creating a threshold seal. The self-extinguishing EPDM insert can seal gaps of up to 13mm, which is easily adjusted by using a cross head screwdriver.
This door drop seal has achieved a 30 minute fire rating, has an acoustic rating for up to 39db and has been successfully tested for durability offering up to 200,000 opening and closing cycles.
The DD1-1750 drop down threshold seal is surface fixed to create a door bottom seal. It is fitted in place with screws supplied and is hidden by the optional end plates or cover plates. Slide and click mechanism enables a quick and easy installation and allows you to be able to remove the seal without removing the door. The inner mechanism slides out, so the outer casing can be fixed to the rebate with the screws supplied and then the inner mechanism can be slid back into place. The DD1-1750 Surface Mounted Drop Seal has successfully tested according to BS EN 10140-1 and BS EN 10140-2 for acoustic standards, BS EN 1634-3 for cold smoke sealing and BS 476 Part 22 for fire resistance.
