Lorient RF1 has been designed in response to a strong demand for a well-designed, bead-applied glazing system solution. This effective fire resistant glazing system provides 60 minute fire resistance and is suitable for use with a variety of fire rated glass types for both doors and screens.
This versatile bead applied glazing system comprises of a pair of bead applied intumescent glazing seals and an intumescent liner. Lorient RF1 is made of a sodium silicate intumescent encapsulated in PVC-u holder with flexible fins. It’s unique design allows tolerances (flexibility) between the door, bead and glass thicknesses to be accommodated.
Lorient RF1 glazing system has been successfully tested for fire in accordance with BS 476: Part 22: 1987 (Approved Document B). Certifire CF5033 approved.
With premium aesthetics, the caps are the only visible elements when fitted. Available in a variety of colours to harmonise with the door. For use with pins which are discreet and quick to fix or alternatively secure with screws. Supplied with a self-adhesive backing, the RF1 is easy to install. Lorient RF1 glazing beads are required on both sides of the glass and should be used with appropriate hardwood beads.
