The Lorient Double Batwing is a medium duty perimeter seal. Co-extruded PVC back with flexible, curved fins minimise the opening and closing resistance of the door, providing acoustic, draught, weather and smoke sealing. Available in three sizes – Lorient LAS1010, LAS1212 and LAS1015 and a variety of colours to blend with the door design.
Performance and durability tested under the third party certification schemes Certifire CF 5179. Elastomeric fins are durable and come back to original shape, which has been tested for over 100,000 cycles. The symmetrical fin design allows the seal to always be in contact with the door leaf, which creates an air chamber to provide excellent acoustic properties, with a rating of 41db in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-1:2010 + 2012 and meet the requirements of Approved Document E. If you require a batwing perimeter seal that has been smoke tested then the LAS1212 provides the perfect solution as it has been tested to BS 476-31.1:1983 and meets requirements: BS 9999:2017, providing an effective smoke seal up to 200 C.
The Lorient perimeter seal is suitable for use on the head and jambs of single and double doors. Supplied with heavy duty self-adhesive tape and tested on many surfaces including MDF. It can be paired with any other fire seals or architectural seals and is fitted with minimal disruption to the door assembly.
