Firewise brush intumescent strip is an affordable solution for sealing a door assembly against smoke and fire.
This fire & smoke intumescent strip is not affected by carbon dioxide or moisture and doesn’t need any further protection. Depending on a size chosen, this fire strip can provide 30 or 60 minute resistance. Suitable for latched single-leaf and single swing timber fire resisting doors. This fire strip can seal gap of 3mm to 4mm between door and frame.
In an event of a fire, the intumescent material expands and fills the gaps between the door and the frame, stopping the spread of smoke and fire.
The intumescent material is enclosed in a PVC holder, available in different colours, the fire strip has a polypropylene brush. Supplied with a self-adhesive tape, the Firewise fire ans smoke intumescent strip can be quickly rebated to the head and jambs of the door assembly.
Firewise Intumescent Strips have tested with UKAS accredited test houses to BSEN 1634–1, BS 476: Part 22 and BS 476: Part 31.1.
