Thermoguard Wallcoat Insulating Basecoat is a durable paint that forms part of a 30 or 60 minute fire resistant system. Wallcoat forms part of a coloured intumescent paint system suitable for exterior plasterboard, cement board ceilings and wall surfaces.
When exposed to fire, the Wallcoat fire retardant system creates an effective insulating barrier. Fire tested to UKAS and EOTA standards, the Thermoguard Wallcoat Insulating Basecoat is compliant with BS EN Class B s1 d0 and Class 0, plus full smoke protection.
To achieve 30 or 60 minutes fire protection, apply Thermoguard Wallcoat for external surfaces to unpainted plasterboard or cement board or boards, followed by a Wallcoat Topcoat. In normal conditions, the product touch dries in one hour and can be overpainted with a Wallcoat Topcoat after 4 hours.
The Thermoguard Wallcoat Basecoat can easily be applied with a brush, roller or as a spray. Available in three sizes.
