Thermoguard Wallcoat Intumescent 30/60 Basecoat is the first part of a coloured intumescent paint system that can provide 30 or 60 minutes fire resistance. Suitable for interior plasterboard and cement board ceilings and wall surfaces.
When exposed to fire, the Wallcoat fire retardant system creates an effective insulating barrier. Fire tested to UKAS and EOTA standards, the Thermoguard Wallcoat Intumescent Basecoat is compliant with BS EN Class B s1 d0 and Class 0, plus full smoke protection.
To achieve 30 or 60 minutes fire protection, apply 3 coats of Thermoguard Wallcoat to unpainted plasterboard or cement board, followed by a Wallcoat Topcoat. In normal conditions, the product touch dries in one hour and can be overpainted with a Wallcoat Topcoat after 4 hours.
The Thermoguard Wallcoat Basecoat can easily be applied with either a brush, roller or as a spray. Available in two sizes: 5kg and 20kg.
