Exitex Parflip is a sash window parting bead offering protection against draught and weather conditions. This one-piece parting bead is an essential part of a sash window and can offer a weather seal solution for the top and bottom sashes. Ideal for sealing and restoring new or old timber sash windows.
This modern plastic parting bead is a perfect alternative to traditional wooden versions. It is superior to wooden parting bead as it is not affected by paint or stains. Paint will not bond to the rigid flippers, as they are rooted in resilient material ensuring they retain the correct weather proofing positions.
The Exitex Parflip weather seal for sliding sash windows comprises of two parallel rigid flipper fins. The fins are friction free, ensuring smooth movement of the sash whilst maintaining a constant high level of protection against the elements and allows a tolerance with Parflip 12 (PFP/12), with it being able to seal widths from 10-13mm and the Parflip 16 (PFP/16) can seal widths from 13-17mm. The seal fits into a 8 x 8mm groove and has a aesthetically pleasing appearance similar to a moulded timber bead.
The parting strip is available in white or brown and is supplied in 3000mm lengths.
