ISL Therm-A-Glaze 30 Plus is a medium pressure intumescent glazing tape, developed to ensure a very reliable fire performance when a cost-effective intumescent tape is required for a 30 minute rated glazed timber fire door application.
This fire rated glazing tape has been developed to provide excellent high temperature sealing properties combined with the benefit of being a strong, durable and flexible strip of intumescent material. It has been specifically formulated to deliver excellent thermal char stability and comprises the benefits of expansion of up to 8 -10 times its original volume, beginning at 180°C and generating a medium pressure intumescent behaviour.
The unique thermal behaviour and a high resistance to thermal erosion allows this glazing strip to be used across a very wide range of fire resisting glazing types for both integrity only and semi-insulating applications. It has been developed to achieve successful fire performance to the BS 476 Standard for fire doors with a 30 minutes rating application. Certifire approved to CF284.
Therm-A-Glaze 30 Plus intumescent tape is supplied only as a 10mm x 2mm dark grey strip and is available on 100 metre length spools for maximum glazing efficiency and minimum tape wastage. Strong adhesive tape with paper liner backing allows quick and easy installation into both fire door apertures and fire glazing screens. The material can be cut very easily with scissors or a sharp knife and so is very easy to fit to fire door glazing beads.
